Exhibition Description
Late in the Season
As autumn fades and the chill of approaching winter can be felt in the air, we take refuge in the lingering colour of fall leaves, deep brown earth, and the rare fragments of summer green. This exhibit pays tribute to the richness of a dying season.
Curators Gareth Bate and Dawne Rudman began with an international call for submissions that attracted hundreds of artists. They like to curate based entirely on what they receive. When looking for the main thematic exhibition decided to bring them all together into a show which became Late in the Season. This will be mounted in The Display Area at our main festival venue Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre in Oakville.

This is the main installation space at the Centre, hosting Myth Making for Festival 2012, and Solo Shows & Installations for Festival 2014. For Festival 2016 once again there will be a group show in the Display Area Gallery. Be sure not to miss the Gallery show and the other group shows in the Corridor Galleries throughout the building.
